“Pride” to be a father By staff PyrPressures Great Pyrenees announced today the breeding of their star, Champion PyrPressure L'Orgueil (“Pride”), to his kennel companion, MeMe (also an AKC Champion of record). PyrPressures owners expect wonderful puppies of great size, wonderful conformation, excellent temperaments and luxurious coats based on the examples set by the parents. The puppies are expected on about October 23, 2009 and will be available to move in to their new homes in mid to late December 2009.
Pride's Home By Staff Pride was born October 6, 2004 in the mountains of Colorado. Before the age of 1 year old Pride and his family moved to the Beautiful City of Ouray (Switzerland of America) in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado. At 2 years old he moved with his family to Berthoud Colorado, on the front range of the Rocky Mountains within a few minutes drive of most of the AKC Dog Shows held in Colorado. From this center of operation he has traveled from coast to coast to show in some of the most prestigious dog shows in the country. He has shown multiple times from California to New York, Minnesota to Florida and Oregon to North Dakota. He enjoys traveling in his motorhome and has his favorite place on the bed with his own blanket. He has been invited to The AKC/Eukanuba National Championships every year since becoming a champion. He has also been invited to the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show and the Crufts Dog Show in England.

Pride wins Intermountain West Working Group Dog Show By Staff
Farmington, Utah - Working to continue his winning streak of four wins within the last 7 day period, Champion PyrPressure L'Orgueil (“Pride”) competing in the Intermountain West Working Dog Show put on a performance typical of his wonderful showmanship and won again today under Judge Mrs. Joan P. Anselm. Prides accomplishment comes on the heels of 4 other wins within the 7 days prior when he won both (back to back) Great Pyrenees Specialties hosted by the Mile High Great Pyrenees Club in Greeley, Colorado on Friday, September 4, 2009 under Judges Mrs. Diane R. Landstrom and Dr. Klaus Anselm. Pride has won a record tying 5 specialties in the Rocky Mountain Region. In a whirlwind of travel, Pride arrived in Roswell, New Mexico early the following morning to enable him to compete in the Rio Pecos Kennel Club Shows, winning a Group 1st under Judge Mr. Robert J. Shreve and continuing on to win Best in Show under Judge Dr. J. Donald Jones on Saturday (September 5, 2009) and following up with another Working Group 1st place win on Sunday (September 6, 2009) under Judge Dr. J. Donald Jones. After a short turn-around visit to home, Pride made the long journey to Farmington, Utah to compete in the Intermountain West Working Group shows, winning that show both yesterday and today under Judges Dr. Klaus Anselm and Mrs. Joan P. Anselm (respectively) for his 5th show win in 8 days. Pride's proud owners; Merry, Glenn and Jonathan Johnson expressed their pleasure with pride. Merry states , “Not only is he a Best in Show Dog, but he is also a loved member of our family with a temperament that is just marvelous.”

AKC Champion PyrPressure L'Orgueil (“Pride”) a hit in the neighborhood By Staff Bertrhoud, Colorado - As he sits atop his dog house, head above his privacy fence, Pride greets passers-by from his home in Berthoud, Colorado. The talk of the neighborhood, Pride issues a friendly bark or two at everyone walking by and greets the other dogs of the neighborhood. Add this to his impressive records (including two time Best Bred By Exhibitor Great Pyrenees at the AKC/Eukanuba National Invitational Championships, 5 time winner of the Mile high Great Pyrenees Club Specialties, 4 time winner of Award of Merit at the AKC/Eukanuba National Invitational Championships, over 150 Best of Breed Wins, over 50 Working Group placements, a recent Best in Show and awarded by the Great Pyrenees Club of America the title "Show Hall of Fame") and you have an all round wonderful specimen of the Great Pyrenees Breed.
Prides Kennel Mates By Staff Pride shares his kennels with his sister, "Lindy"; Lindy's sons "Blue" and "Hawk"; Lindy's 5 month old daughter, "Sunny", nieces "Jen" and "MeMe"; and "Freedom". Other than the 5 month old, all are AKC Champions of record and each has their own record of accomplishments including multiple best in match titles and multiple Best Brace in Show titles (including Great Pyrenees Club of America National Specialty Show best brace titles). Freedom boasts completion of his requirements to become a champion at age 10 1/2 months and multiple Best of Breed wins also. Lindy, primarily handled by Junior Handler Jonathan Johnson, boasts multiple Best of Opposite Sex wins at specialties as well as many other all breed shows. Pride's kennel mates can boast of many extraordinary accomplishments.
